The film opens as if it is going to be a snuff film, but basically doesn't deliver unless your idea of a snuff film is to keep the victim unseen in a bag like the DVD cover.
In 1998 the whole thing was re-edited from the ground up: deleted scenes were restored, embarrassing scenes were cut, the original audio of Laurel Takashima's dialogue was used, and the whole thing was re-scored by Christopher Franke. While it's still fairly cheap-looking, the result is a much more engaging film.
